A great hotel! A central hotel, very comfortable and clean. The staff is very friendly, the rooms have all the comforts, the food is very tasty and the roof terrace is great to spend a good taro watching Mount Meru and chatting with friends. Fantastic

Amazing place!! Had a fabulous stay through Climb Kili. The staff was warm and welcoming, the grounds were gorgeous. The cottages were clean, spacious and very comfortable. The food (we had dinner and breakfast) was very good. As a bonus there was a fabulous dance show!!

Öde, lågsäsong ? Bodde där 2 ggr , med 6 nätters mellanrum. Mer folk i rörelse och mer erfaren personal första gången, när vi sedan kom från safari, var vi ensamma på hotellet och de hade nollkoll. Att vi tex hade tre rätters i vårt paket… och det syntes liksom inte till någon som jobbade där hela tiden. Poolen kändes ofräsch. Kändes som om det var lågsäsong. Väldigt enkelt hotell . Väldigt högljutt utanför hotellets grindar som var störande vid läggdags

Bon hôtel pour Arusha mais basique, hôtel “de transit” L’hôtel est propre, le personnel de qualité et nous avons bien dormi. Cependant, ce n’est pas un hôtel “agréable”, juste utile et bien fait pour passer un nuit avant de prendre un vol le lendemain par exemple. Dans ce dernier cas, c’est plutôt un bon hôtel pour Arusha qui n’est pas une ville destinée à des hôtels de détente. Nous y avons passé 2 nuits et avons trouvé le temps long… En résumé bien pour une nuit mais ne vous y attardez pas à mon avis 😉

Great hotel with top level service Really enjoyed our stay through Climb Kili. People were great and the quality was great. Only challenge was location. Not easy to get out and enjoy the area. They make it very convenient with USD. Prices in the restaurant are high.

An Incredible Stay! I cannot say enough good things about Summit Safari Lodge. I stayed here before my Kilimanjaro hike, and ended up staying an additional week after my hike. The staff was so friendly and made me feel like a friend since I arrived a solo traveler. The restaurant food was amazing, I ate most of my meals here and the included breakfast is fantastic- I would get a big juice, coffee, plate of fresh fruit, and an entree plate each morning. They organized several tours for me which also were great. The rooms are very clean, which was another major bonus! Would highly recommend staying here- Thank you Summit Safari Lodge!

Wonderful stay at the Summit Safari Lodge Before and after my Kilimanjaro climb and Safari in July 2020 I stayed at the Summit Safari Lodge. At my arrival I received a really nice welcoming. And all of the other time the staff at the lodge was absolutely fabulous. All of them were so kind and unbelievable hospitable, I have never experienced it like that before. The hotel and my room were really clean. The food was so delicious. While staying at the Lodge I had a really good time and felt completely comfortable. There is definitely nothing negative you can say about the staff or the hotel. I can clearly recommend the Summit Safari Lodge to anyone coming to Arusha for climbing Kilimanjaro, going to Safari or just exploring Tanzania. Some of you reading this may ask yourself how is the situation with Covid-19 in Tanzania. I want to say to everyone who is thinking about going to Tanzania, do it! I have spend almost 2 weeks in Tanzania and I have not see any sick people or heard from someone who was infected. After I came back I was tested negative. I know, during this time it can be hard to get to Tanzania and even my flights got changed 6 times, but still have manged to push trough and to get there. I want to encourage you to do the same, because it is hard to see how the pandemic affected tourism in Tanzania. The people there need us tourist. Don't be afraid, it is worth!

Exemplary customer service My daughter and I stayed at the Summit Safari Lodge for two nights prior to our trip up Kilimanjaro with ClimbKili. Our experience could not have been better. Although the area around the hotel is very “local”, you are in an oasis as soon as you come through the front gate. The grounds were very well maintained. The hotel spaces (common areas, rooms, dining room, etc) were spotless and constantly being maintained by the staff. Speaking of the staff, they could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Every person we met, from the front desk personnel to the chef, made it a great experience. While enjoying a cigar and local beer in their garden area, I was treated like royalty. As we were finishing our dinner in the restaurant, the chef came from the kitchen to introduce herself and ask about our meal. I am not sure how the prices compare to other hotels in and around Arusha, but we thought the price was inexpensive considering the quality of the experience. The location is very convenient to the city-center. Far enough away to be quiet and tranquil, but only a few minutes taxi ride to see the sights. If you should find yourself passing through Arusha, Tanzania, you could do no better than the Summit Safari Lodge. Highly recommend.

Nice Hotel with Friendly Staff My girlfriend and I stayed at the Summit Safari Lodge before and after climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. Overall, our stay at Summit Safari Lodge was very nice. The hotel staffing is very friendly and the restaurant serves great food. We very much enjoyed the pizza and free breakfast! Overall, we would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, friendly hotel with a good price. The only drawback is the location and laundry pricing. The hotel is located slightly off the main road outside of Arusha Town. Not walkable to much other than the local neighborhood around it. Admittedly, we didn't explore the local neighborhood, so perhaps there was more than meets the eye here. Also, make sure you negotiate the pricing for laundry. If you let them price it per garment, which is their standard pricing model, its crazy. $94 for one load!! However, management adjusted the pricing dramatically after some discussion, so no harm done. They should price it by weighing it and charging by the kilo like most hotels do, but they don't do this, so beware. Regardless, the hotel was definitely a nice oasis after our climb and worth the price.
